Remake Scotland is a creative reuse organisation, aiming to divert potential landfill and encourage grassroots creativity. We encourage everyone to make good stuff from old stuff while learning to use tools with confidence. We currently run 4 projects as part of our creative and socially inclusive community hub. 1. The Scrapstore collects safe, clean business waste for re-use as art, craft, play and educational materials by community groups, schools and individuals. We also sell second hand furniture for upcycling purposes. 2. The Make & Mend Craft Space is used for community classes, private hire and parties where groups can develop the skills. 3. The Shed is our kitted out woodworking workshop with benches and handtools which is available for free but untutored sessions. 4. Remake Outreach provides creative reuse learning opportunities and workshops to schools, community organisations and residential care homes. Remake works with volunteers from a variety of ages, abilities and backgrounds with a particular focus on intergenerational community building and skills sharing. Remake also collaborates with local makers, artists and mentors to showcase creative and practical skills.
