October 6, 2020 by Perthshire Creates
Perthshire Artisans offers creatives living and/or working in Perth & Kinross a quality online platform supporting their creative practice, promoting and selling their work, and are currently open to new applications.
Pilot Phase 1 of Perthshire Artisans launched in June 2020 (mid lockdown) as a new curated platform providing a marketing and e-commerce portal for Perth & Kinross based creatives. As Pilot Phase 2 now begins, Perthshire Artisans are opening up applications for local creatives who wish to join the platform.
Perthshire Artisans is run on a ‘not for private gain’ model and exists to support local artisans running a creative practice business. Membership provides a number of additional benefits including enterprise support and joining a supportive creative community. Perthshire Artisans is powered by GrowBiz as part of the GrowBiz Smart Village initiative, and developed through years of supporting and listening to creatives with the aim of providing a quality online platform to join.
Perthshire Artisans is developing a growing audience on their social media channels and are keen to develop the site with additional artists and their work to showcase the variety, quality and wonderful original artworks created throughout the region.
Applications are open offering 3 different Membership options which include Directory and E-commerce listings. All the information can be found on the Become a Perthshire Artisan page on their website. There are links to the Membership options and Guidelines, details of how to apply to Perthshire Artisans, and the Summary T&C’s for this round of applications. The deadline for this current round of applications is Thursday 15 October.
As the site develops new content will be added including News & Updates, telling the story of creative activities and events, both relating to listed Artisans and to what is happening throughout the region. There will also be a calendar of events for Artisans running workshops and classes they wish to promote.
The Directory only membership option is designed for creatives who already have their own e-commerce website, yet wish to be part of Perthshire Artisans. 2020 has proven how vital it is to have an online presence in order to both engage with your existing audience and develop new audiences, and Perthshire Artisans is developing into a quality platform which both promotes and supports Artisan members.
Membership of Perthshire Artisans also includes free membership to the newly created Rural Enterprise Directory Scotland – REDS – the only business directory for small rural businesses throughout all of Scotland, which effectively means two membership listings for the price of one if you choose to apply and become a Perthshire Artisan.
Application deadline for this round is Thursday 15 October.
