Mini Art Trail in Perthshire

A small group of artists are uniting to form a mini Art Trail around Perth, Crieff and Dunning. They will open their studio doors next week from Wednesday 2 – Sunday 6 September from 10-5pm.

In Perth, you can visit Diana King Jewellery who creates contemporary jewellery collections using silver and resin, where there will also be some work from Perth based Sarah Halliday Art to view, and Cat Burton Photography who is a fine art photographer inspired by fantasy, folklore & nature.

Between Perth & Dunning, at the home of kilt maker, Marion Foster who runs Askival of Strathearn you’ll find out more about Marion’s traditional and bespoke kilt making and restoration work, in addition to the kilt making workshops run in a purpose-built studio set in a beautiful rural setting. Diane Watson from D&K Country Crafts will also be open between Forteviot and Forgandenny.

In Dunning you’ll discover various artworks and glass creations from mother and daughter team Lorna and Fiona Radbourne of Catriona Studio, and at the same venue, ceramics from John Maguire Ceramics.(top image).

June McEwan from Willow Works will be open at her Lochtie based workshop with a selection of beautifully crafted willow creations and in Comrie you can visit Mairi Urquhart at Urquhart Glass who creates handcrafted glass jewellery, homewares, gifts and panels.

All artists are looking forward to welcoming visitors and will be keen to ensure a safe environment. Organiser Lorna Radbourne says: ‘We are really looking forward to showing visitors what we have been working on over the last few months. The arts are important.  They help bring more colour in our new way of life’.

All safety measures will be in place to ensure a safe visit, visitors will be asked to sanitise hands, wear masks, fill in a track and trace record and maintain social distancing.
