Running for the 3rd year, the Perthshire Creates Christmas Design Market is gaining a reputation as a great event for both showcasing the high quality and fabulous diversity of Perthshire designer makers and artists, as well as being a must attend Christmas shopping event.

- Venue for this year is the Civic Hall, 2 High Street, Perth
Moving to the new venue of the Civic Hall, 2 High Street, allows all the stalls to be in one large area to help create a vibrant atmosphere, the hall is light and bright and a fabulous space for such an event.
We welcome applications from both established and emerging makers from all creative disciplines to provide a wide choice for visitors and to best represent the area’s talent with high levels of quality, craftsmanship and originality.
This professional selling and networking opportunity is marketed through various activities including social media, What’s on Guides, flyers and posters.
How to Apply
The application process welcomes submissions from independent practitioners with original, high-quality work to sell, living and/or working in Perthshire & Kinross. We are not accepting submissions consisting of items that are not original in design – for example, jewellery that is assembled from manufactured beads or knitwear from commercial patterns. Work must be hand made, or produced in small batches, finished to the highest standards and displayed creatively.

- Return with requested images to email@example.com with ‘Christmas Design Market Application’ in the subject heading

The cost of a 6′ stall is £35 (VAT included). Selected stall holders will be asked to bring their own floor length covering cloth. Exhibitors are encouraged to merchandise their table in whatever way best reflects the nature of their work and in a festive way.
If additional space eg: for hanging rails, easel or print rack, access to electrical sockets etc is required please indicate this on your application form. We’ll do our very best to accommodate these requests so long as clearly indicated on your submission form and space allows, but cannot make any guarantees.
Promotion of the event
Perthshire Creates will undertake marketing and promotional activity to support and build the success of this event, including posters, flyers, a dedicated Facebook Event page, web content, and social media, venue signage and external banners. Perthshire Creates will provide promotional graphics and information and encourages participants to help promote the event via their own networks.
The Perthshire Creates Christmas Design market will be open to the public between 10 – 4.30pm, with exhibitors set up from 8.30am on the day
Originality and quality of work are the main criteria for the selection process, but we also want to ensure there’s a good mix from both the stallholders’ and visitors’ perspective. Work will also be selected on suitability for the audience and the show itself and complement other exhibitors.
If you are not successful for this event, please know that space is limited and it does not mean that you won’t be successful for future events, previous participation does not, unfortunately, guarantee selection.

Notification – By Friday 15 September 2017
Acceptance/Payment – Friday 6 October 2017
Design Market – Saturday 25 November 2017
Successful applicants will be sent notification, a booking form and invoice for the event. A completed booking form and table fee must be received by Friday 6 October to secure your space.
Unsuccessful applications will also receive notification via email.
