In addition to current exhibitions from the collection, Innerpeffray Library near Crieff organises a variety of music and social events to raise funds for the running costs and special projects.  This Summer they have a couple of activities and events to share:

An Informal sewing group – Stitches in Time encourages people to join them at Innerpeffray Library on Friday mornings in June (2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd & 30th) for a chance to have a go at stitching some of the many amazing patterns to be found in the collection of historic books. It’s a very relaxed drop in session running from 10-12 noon. Using existing templates, or making up your own, you can do a little or a lot. With help on hand to get you started, there are also some kits available to take home for a small fee. Running from 10am – 12noon, this group is free to attend, if you have any additional questions and/or just want to let them know you plan to go along you can call 01764 652819 or email

Later in the Summer a performance of Romeo and Juliet, a musical take on Shakespeare from the Three Inch Fools, is planned on Thursday 27th July.  Innerpeffray Library is delighted to present this exciting evening’s entertainment from five actors, with all manner of instruments who present an inventive take on the Shakespeare classic of whirlwind romance and bitter tragedy.  Part of Three Inch Fools summer tour of the UK, this is a not to be missed event from an acclaimed, creative company who specialise in unusual venues.  Tickets are £25 including a delicious buffet supper and drinks, £12.50 for U16’s. Arrive from 7pm for refreshments, the performance starts at 7.45pm.  You can book your ticket now on 01764 652819 or email
