See 7 plays in 6 days – 2016 Summer Season at Pitlochry Festival Theatre

27 May – 15 October 2016
Summer Season 2016 at Pitlochry Festival Theatre promises to be the most unique yet, as for the first time since 1966, you will be able to see SEVEN shows instead of six.
There will also be (only two) opportunities to see 3 plays in a single day. This will be a superb theatrical spectacle as all 7 cast members play different roles, on the same set, in each of the three plays:Gameplay, Flatspin and Roleplay . . . A real highlight in the history of Pitlochry Festival Theatre (PFT).
Featuring a live orchestra and a cast of 14, Carousel is the first Rodgers and Hammerstein musical ever to be presented by PFT. It’s big, bold and brilliant and is shaping up to be the best musical ever staged. If you loved White Christmas, Hello, Dolly or Kiss Me, Kate, this is for you, your friends, families and relatives, everyone!
The programme also includes the Scottish première of Clive Francis’s acclaimed 2013 revision of Thark, a revival of Noel Coward’s This Happy Breed and Stephen Jeffrey’s adaption of Charles Dickens’s Hard Times.
PFT produces high quality productions, receiving critical acclaim year after year. With the diversity in the programme this summer, there is something to suit everyone.
PFT continues to thrive as its unique model of presenting a different play every day was developed with the visitor firmly at the heart of the experience.
