3 Day Creative Writing Course at Winter Words Festival, Pitlochry Festival Theatre

February 4, 2016 by Perthshire Creates

It’s not too late for budding authors to join the Winter Words annual, three-day Creative Writing Workshop which returns 16th to 18th February. There’s a packed programme of lively, interactive discussions, practical exercises and break-out sessions as well as a one-to-one session plus a close look at how to create compelling and complex characters and plot and a session on finding your ‘voice’, all taking place in the atmospheric setting of the famous Pitlochry Festival Theatre.

The course has been running for the last few years and several writers attending have since gone on to publish their work in magazines and journals. One attendee signed a book deal and another has embarked on an MLitt in Creative writing.

Participants can also attend five daytime literary events for free during Winter Words.

The workshop is led by experienced and returning tutor Zoe Venditozzi author of Anywhere’s Better Than Here.

According to Rowan from Blairgowrie, who attended the workshop last year, this is “An incredibly amicable, collaborative environment which is perfect for inspiring feats of creativity”.

More information on this course can be found here, if you want to take up this opportunity call the Box Office on 01796 484626.
