Fine Art Prints by Lynn Pascoe
The Watermill Gallery is pleased to welcome back Cornish artist Lynn Pascoe. Lynn finds inspiration in the woodlands surrounding her home and her work evokes the special atmosphere found on entering a wood.
She focuses not only on the trees but also on the mosses, lichens and fungi which grow in the shadows and hidden places of the woodland.
Printmaking is often thought of as a mechanical process but Lynn’s thoughtful images are hand-worked and individually produced. She works with oil-based inks on paper and uses a mixture of etching, woodcut, linocut and monoprint, creating unique images which evolve layer by layer.
Into the Green Wood will run at The Watermill from 19th December 2015 – 31st January 2016, open Mon-Sat 10am – 5pm & Sun 11am – 5pm. The Watermill in Aberfeldy is within 1½ hours’ drive of Glasgow or Edinburgh. It occupies the top floor of the Watermill complex, which also houses the biggest bookshop in rural Scotland, a coffee shop and music shop. It has been voted The Best Independent Bookshop in the UK.
